1.Be able to understand the meaning of the dialog and repeat it correctly

2.Be able to listen, say and read the new words and sentences

3.Be able to sing the song of this unit, and enjoy it.

课前准备

Tape and tape recorder, Word cards, TV English book

板书设计

Module 5 Unit 1  They're cows.

                          Eggs.

         

 Warm-up& Revision:

1.Sing a song

Head shouldersThe Ss sing it together.

 

2.Free talk

Hello/ Hi/ How are you?

How old are you?

Are you happy?

 

3. Sing the chant

Whats this? Whats this? This is my head.

 

What are these? What are these? These are my eyes.

Presentation and drills:

Now today well go to a farm with Daming and Amy. Look at the picture (Its a beautiful farm.) Teach the word farm.Lets watch it together then answer the questions What are they talking about?

1. T: Play the video and let the students watch it , then let the Ss try to answer the question?

    What animals do you see?

(cow  pig  chicken)

T: Teach the students to learn the new words according to the word cards and the video.

T:How many cows? S:3.

引出Theyre cows.These are cows.做比较

教授What are they?Theyre cows.

相同办法,练习其他生词。

 

2.Watch the video again and discuss the  answer with their partners

What are they talking about?

Describing each pictures for the Ss aims to help the Ss understand the main meaning of this dialog.

 

3.Ss answer (They can use Chinese)-----Describe the pictures.

 

4. Watch the video then listen point and say.

S: Watch it carefully then repeat each sentence.

5. Open the book then try to read it together.

S: Open the book then read it.

6.Listen to the tape and find the key sentences Theyre

S: Listen and find.

T: Check the answer to the students.

Practice

T: Boys and girls, lets play a game. When I point to the sentence What are they? You say They are cows. And When I point to the sentence They are cows. You say What are they?

S: Play the game.

Listen and guess

T imitates any kind of animal and students guess it.

Consolidation

1 Open the AB ,do the exercise look, listen, and match the pictures.

2 Try to say

Describe the pictures such as What are they? They are cows.

 

Sum up

The teacher sum up the key structures and the key words to the Ss.

学生对于动物的学习表现出浓厚的兴趣,能够积极参与课堂活动,但由于前面学过“What are these? These are…”,学生容易混淆,在后续学习中,会继续巩固练习。
