Step 1 Warm-up

Warm up:

1. Song:  Sing the song “The doctor on the bus”

2. TPR:

  Say the words and do the actions as quickly as you can. Review the words for jobs: teacher, doctor, pupil, clown

   Learn “clown” and clear the meaning.

通过改编的课本歌曲,巩固和复习有关职业的单词,同时渗透clown.

3Free talk

(Show some things and ask)

T: Look! What’s this/ that?

  Ss: It’s a school bag.

  T: Whose bag is this?

  S1: This is my bag.

  T: Oh! This is S1’s bag. This is her/his bag. Here’s your bag.

(Sign the sentence on the board.)

  S1: Thank you.

  The same way goes others: book, hat, …

(Get the students involved. And preview for the key structure.)

对本课的重点句型进行渗透,通过这一活动,帮助学生初步理解hisher的含义及用法。】

Step 2 Presentation

Activity 1: Story Time

(This activity is for watching. To make the Ss to understand the story and tell it in Chinese.)

1T: (Show the headdresses of Daming’s and Linging’s)

Look! Who are they?

Ss: Daming and Lingling.

T: Daming and Lingling are pupils. They are at school.

They are looking for Ms. Smart the doctor and the pupils at the teacher’s office, the doctor’s office and the classroom, but there’s no one. What happened? (Stick the pictures on the board)

Play the courseware and let the Ss find out what happened.

Find individual student to tell what happened. The teacher tells the story again in English.

通过视听和观察课本图片,学生初步理解课文内容,尝试将课文小故事用英语说出来。】

Activity 2 Acting

(This activity is for understanding the new pattern “This is her/ his…” watching and acting. And to make the Ss Students be able to read the words “his, her, their, coat”, and clear the meaning of the words.)

T: Daming and Lingling find some things, what do they find?

   Play the courseware again. Let the Ss watch carefully and find out the things they mentioned.

   Stick the pictures on the board: bag, book, hat, coat, school bags

   Learn the word “coat”.

   Then watch again and let the Ss find out:

   Whose bag? Whose hat? Whose coat? Whose school bags?

   Choose the correct headdress and say:

Whose bag?(Show the bag)

The Ss choose Ms. Smart’s headdress, put it on and say:

With Ms. Smart’s :This is my bag. (Touch the bag)

Then match the bag and Ms.Smart on the board.

T: If you are Lingling, you find Ms. Smart’s bag in the office, what can you say?

With Lingling’s: This is her bag.

Find other Ss to be Lingling.

通过这一环节,学生带头饰演练句型并进行理解。】

Whose book?

With Ms. Smart’s :This is my book.

Then match the book and Ms. Smart

T: If you are Daming, you find Ms. Smart’s book in the office, what can you say?

With Daming’s: This is her book.

Find other Ss to be Daming.

   Whose hat is that? (Put the hat on the desk)

With Doctor’s: That is my hat. (Pay attention to use “that”)

T: Who wants to be Daming?

With Daming’s: That is his hat.

提醒学生注意his 的使用,简单点明hisher含义上的区别。】

Explain the difference of “his” and “her”.

Find other Ss to be Daming.

The same way goes ‘coat’.

Whose school bags?

Let the Ss say the answer in Chinese.

T: Yes! They are the pupils’ school bags. Their school bags.

   Learn the word “their” and clear the meaning.

学生通过跟读,进一步理解整篇对话,同时在对话中找出含有his, hertheir的句子。】

Practice

Play the story for the 3rd time, have the students enjoy it. Then wear the headdress and try to act it out. (T-Ss)

(To make the Ss to find the sentences with “his, her, their” in the dialog.)

Find individual student to tell the story in Chinese.

2、Read the dialog after the tape.

3、Order the pictures according to the story, books closed.

4、Try to tell the story in English.

5、Books open, read in 4-person groups, try to act it out.

6、 学生分角色读课文。

1、 Review the words:

Show the cards and review the following words:

3、 this and that

Show the cards “this” and “that”, let the Ss tell the difference.

Point to the things and say the sentences, using “this” or “that”.

4、 his and her

课件出示物品,学生根据图片判断,正确使用his/her进行表述。

1.    Let’s learn

T: Today let’s get to know some new jobs.

(1)Show a picture of a doctor.

T: Who’s this?

S: This is a doctor.

T: Yes. Is it a doctor?(a picture of a nurse)

S: No, it isn’t.

T: She’s a nurse.

Learn the word “nurse” and do the action.

Check up a line.

(2)Show a picture of a driver.

T: Look! Is this a teacher?

【注意指导/dr/的发音。】

 

S: No

T: What’s he?

S: He’s a driver.

【渗透新的词组,同时学习bus一词。】

 

Learn the word “driver”

Read and do the action.

Show a bus and say:

T: This is a bus. He’s a bus driver.

Learn “bus” and practice “bus driver”.

Show a taxi and say:

T: This is a taxi. He’s a taxi driver.

Learn “taxi driver”

【词汇拓展,但只要求学生理解,不强求掌握。】

 

2.    Practise:

Guess what does he or she do?

Show some pictures and let the Ss guess what are they.

Review the words for jobs and learn the sentence “Is he a …?”
