教材分析
通过Sam寻找Daming的家,沿途经过的路线介绍了方向词的用法。书中配以箭头:向左,向右,直行,形象地展示了表示方向的词。
教学目标
知识目标:a.熟练掌握:Turn left. Turn right. Go straight on.
          b. 熟练掌握句子:Where’s …, please?
能力目标:a. 熟练使用表示方向的词语在生活中进行交际,在听、说、演等活动中,培养学生的快速反应能力、知识迁移能力、自主学习能力等综合运用英语的能力。
          b. 通过观察、分析、交流、讨论,掌握语言知识
情感目标:a.激发学生的积极情感,培养合作与创新精神,增强竞争意识以及使学生们乐于参与各种英语实践活动。
          b. 培养学生的独立生活能力。

一、Warm up
1、Greeting. Good morning, boys and girls.
            How are you?
            I’m fine, too.
            What’s the weather like?
2、          Ok. Today we are going to learn Module 9 Unit 1. The topic is “Turn left”. First, let’s sing a song together. Please sing and do the actions. OK?
二、   Presentation
1、        Very good. In this song, there are two new words. First one, “left”(Teach“ left”)
The second one, “right”(Teach“right”)
2、        Children, please look. I live in Jiangxi Road. Where do you live? You can tell me“I live in … Road.”(领读road)
Today Sam is going to go to Daming’s flat. Where is Daming’s flat? (Teach “flat”)
I give you two choice. A It’s in West Lake Road.(领读,一个大组读)
                  B It’s in East Lake Road.
3、 Let’s watch the story.
4、So where is Daming’s flat? Yes, it’s in East Lake Road. We get the answer from picture 6“ I live in East Lake Road”. Children look. In picture 5, Sam is confused. Why? Sam is lost.(Teach“lost”)
Why is he lost? In picture 1, Sam thinks Daming lives in West Lake Road.
Sam can’t find West Lake Road. So he ask way to the policeman. How does Sam ask the way?
Excuse me. (领读) Where’s West Lake Road?
Let’s listen, what does the policeman say?
5、Go straight on. Yes, good. (领读straight,Go straight on)
6、接下来怎么走?Let’s listen.
7、Turn right. (领读)
8、Now look. Here is West Lake Road. First go straight on. Then turn right. Then turn left. We can get West Lake Road.(领读)
9、Role play. Who wants to be the policeman? And who wants to be Sam?
我们还可以向可靠的人来问路,换成老爷爷、老奶奶的语气来读一读
10、Sam is so careless. I hope you will be careful.
 
三、Practice
1、        Now please read and judge.
2、        Now please open your books. Please listen point and find“Go straight on. Turn right. Turn left.”
3、        Let’s check your answer.
4、        Now let’s listen and repeat.
5、        Please read in groups.
6、        Finish Activity 1. Listen and draw the arrows.
