Step 1:

Step 2: Presentation

1.   Ask the children to look at the page. Elicit as much  information about the story as you can by asking  questions.
 
T: Who are they in the picture?  ? 
  What can Xiaoyong do?
  What’s this? Is it a parrot? Is the parrot naughty?
Let the children answer
2.   Learn the new words: nice clever shy quiet loud naughty
3.   Teacher write the new words on the board and repeat  together, and ask individuals to review them one  by one.
4. Learn the sentences:

5.     Play the CD-ROM, ask the students to follow the dialog .Play the tape and let the students follow the  dialog for the second time. 

6. Repeat.  This  time  pause  after  each  utterance  for  the  children  to  repeat.

Step 3: Practice

1.Play the tape again. This time ask them to follow the  sentences according to what they hear. 
2. Divide the class into two groups.
Give each section a role in the conversation.
3. The whole class acts the dialog without the tape, with each group saying the corresponding text.

3.    Ask individuals to say the words.  Correct any pronunciation mistakes.

5.    Put the pictures or the photos on the board.
