Step 1 Warm up
1. Sing an English song with the actions.《If you are happy!》
2. Act the dialogue M9 U1.
3. Review some words about feelings: happy/sad/angry/bored/hungry/thirsty/tired
Step 2 Presentation
1. Jigsaw reading. T: How do you get it?
2. Careful reading:
①Read part one, answer the questions: Why was Zara sad? What did she do yesterday?
(Ss get some reading rules.)
②Read part two, think about the sentences. (True or False)
A: She bought the cake with Mum. B: She drank some water.
③Let’s imagine: What happened then? After that, read part three.
Step 3 Consolidation and Practice:
1. Listen and repeat. 2. Read in pair or in group.
3. Finish the exercise 5 on P35. 4. Look and say: Describe these four pictures.
