Teaching aims:
1.Help the students to understand the article in ‘Let's read’(P.63)and answer the questions about the article and develop the Ss' reading ability.
2.Help the Ss to review the vocabulary (occupations) and the important sentences:‘What does he / she do?’‘Where does he / she work?’ ‘How does he / she go to work?’Enable the Ss to use them in real situations.
3.Help the Ss to talk about personal information.

Teaching steps:
Step one: Pre-reading
1. (1)Greeting:T: I love my family very much. Do you love your family?
How many people are there in your family?
What does your father do? How does he go to work?
What does your mother do? How does she go to work?
(2)Guide the students to ask some questions about the teacher.
T: Do you want to know something about my family? If you do, you can ask me some questions.
(3)Discuss in your groups
2. Guide the Ss to review the jobs vocabulary
3. T:I like sing. I want to be a singer. What are you going to be in the future?
T—Ss. Let’s read an article , maybe it will give you some tips.
Step two: In-reading
1. Read it and answer two questions.
(1) How many persons are there?
(2) Who are they?
2. Here’s a form, there are some information about the three persons.
(1) Now let’s read the first passage by yourself and answer my questions.

Where does he work?
How does he go to work?

Read the first passage again and find the new words and sentences.

(2). Write the answers on the books, then check them in pairs.

5. Listen a song : “Que sera sera”
Step three: Post-reading
1.Play a game: “Lucy 52” Guess “what does he/she do?”
2.Do the activity book on P.46 and check the answers.
3. Composition:
(1) See a picture of Mike’s family and say something about his family.
(2) You can write a composition about his family and you also can write a composition about your family or your friend’s family.
(3) Ss write the composition.
(4) Present some students’ composition.
